Dr. Tammy Greene

                        FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) Will this be on the test?

    - YES. If I discuss it in lecture, yes it is fair game to be on the test. If it is in an assigned chapter or other reading assignment, yes it is fair game to be on the test. While it is true that the test cannot cover 100% of what has been discussed, always assume the answer to this question is yes.

2) Do we need to know this?

    - YES. I am not just talking because I like the sound of my own voice. For further explanation see Question 1.

3) What part of this do we need to know?

    - ALL OF IT. This is just another way of phrasing questions 1 and 2.

4) I missed yesterday. Did we do anything? or Did we do anything important?

    - There will not be a day when we do nothing. If you miss you should always get notes from a classmate. Again I refer you to question 1.

    - A better way to phrase this question would be: "Did I miss any assignments?"

5) Can the test be open book/open note?

    - NO.

6) Will you tell us what questions will be on the test?

    - NO. Although I have been known to give hints during lecture.

7) Will you email me my grade when you are finished with the tests?

    - I cannot send grades over email. I will try my best to get the tests back by the next lecture.

8) If I email you my phone number will you call me with my grade?

    - No. If I do this for you, I have to do this for everyone, and I am not going to make 100 phone calls every time I give a test.

9) Can I come to your office hours for help understanding the chapter?

    - Absolutely. Always feel free to come in for help. If you cannot make my office hours, talk to me before or after class to make an appointment.
